Commando Final Specs

We'll be reviewing the disc in the next week or so and we will let everyone know whether the rumor "handslap" scene has been restored (if it was actually filmed). Still here is the final specs and press release for Commando. We plan to have additional art and clips in the near future. I can say based on my experiences with Fox SE's for Predator 1 and Predator 2 we can expect some great discs. Thanks to Crystal at M-80.

CENTURY CITY, Calif. – The vintage Schwarzenegger film that helped to cement his world-renowned action hero status following the huge success of The Terminator, Commando was produced by mega action icon Joel Silver (The Matrix, Lethal Weapon) and quickly became another “Arnold action classic” – and is now being re-released as a special Director’s Cut DVD on September 18th from Fox Home Entertainment. Schwarzenegger (True Lies, Total Recall) stars as a retired special operations soldier who engages in a vengeful rescue mission to save his kidnapped daughter from enemy hands. Recognized for its unapologetic non-stop explosive action, Commando gloriously infuses non-stop car chases, punch ups, gun fights and explosions with a unique blend of humor and quick one-liners that became Arnold’s signature style. The film also stars Alyssa Milano (“Charmed,” “Who’s The Boss”), Rae Dawn Chong (The Color Purple, Soul Man), Dan Heyada (Swimfan, Clueless), David Patrick Kelly (Flags Of Our Fathers) and Bill Duke (Predator).
The Commando Director’s Cut DVD features the original theatrical film plus an all-new unrated version as envisioned by director Mark L. Lester (Firestarter, Armed and Dangerous) featuring over five minutes of never-before-seen footage added back into the film; additional DVD special features include director audio commentary, deleted scenes, two behind-the-scenes featurettes, photo galleries and more. The Commando Director’s Cut DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.98 U.S. / $25.98 Canada.
